 Our Learning: 

This week we did some catch up work by writing about how we can help the earth, as this was unfinished from Earth Day.  Oops!  We have been watching our caterpillars closely.  They are getting much bigger and we have had two chrysalis form.  Hopefully more will soon come!  In Math we have been looking at all the various ways we can represent numbers.   Finally, we finished our in-line skating sessions.  It was so much fun and A LOT of progress was made with skating skills.

Thursday, June 23 - Sports Day (This is a morning event, however PM kinders are invited if a parent or guardian can accompany them from 9:00 to 11:00 on the field)


Zoo Payment/Passes

Last week, students received field trip forms for the upcoming Calgary Zoo Field Trip! We are so excited to take our students on this exciting trip, but there are some important things that need to happen first:

  • All children going on the trip, please make your payment of $12.65 on PowerSchool to ensure your child is ready for the June 21st and 22nd. 
  • If your child has a zoo pass, please bring it in no later than next Thursday, June 16. 
  • Parent volunteers, if you have a zoo pass, please bring it with you when we visit the zoo.

  Our Learning: We had a lot going on this week with a science experiment called "Walking Water", Stuffy Measurement, badminton skills in gym, tally practice in Math and continued discussion about DOMESTIC and WILD animals.  Please take some time to ask your child about what their favorite activity was.   Our Learning: This week we created a classroom book called "We LOVE Ms. T". The children were very thoughtful in sharing all the reasons why they love Ms. T.  The pictures they drew were detailed and carefully colored. The English kindergarten was so fortunate to have such a caring, organized and hard working teacher!  Ms. T will be missed.💜  This week we also read several versions of the Gingerbread man.  The children sequenced the characters and event of the story and we are beginning to talk about what makes a good storyteller.   Dates to Remember: March 13 – Daylight Savings – “Spring Ahead” Monday, March 14 – Tuscany School Unique Sock Day Thursday, March 17 – Wear Green Day Friday, March 18 - AM Class attends 8:30 to 12:40 March 21–25 Spring Break No School  Wednesday, March 30 - Coulee Trip (3 parent volunteers needed per class).  The sign up genius will be coming soon!

  Our Learning: This week we reviewed what it means to fill and dip from a bucket based on the book, "Have You Filled a Bucket Today?" and we did an art project based on the zones of regulation.  We all want to be socially strong as we head into summer and then grade one.  We also worked on our Father's Day activity, ordered dice from smallest to largest and observed our chrysalis'.
