Our Learning: We discussed the signs of Spring even though there we still had some Winter signs hanging around.  In Math, we played a game called "Face Off" where students had to subitze power of ten cards.  These cards are helpful in leading children to describe their visual understanding of numbers.  An example is saying, "I know this one is nine because it is one less than ten" or "I know this one is six because of the five and the one".  We also continued to work with dominoes and tally marks. Bonus work:    Have your child write the numerals 1 to 10 down the side of a paper and then write the corresponding tally marks beside the number.  If they can go further, let them give it a try!  (Bonus work is always optional!) New Reading Resource: One of my favorite activities to do with children is sing songs and then learn to read the lyrics together.  Your child will be bringing home a song TREASURE book on Thursday and you are free to keep it over the wee
